Past Year Project Highlights

We hosted our first in-person Horizons Quest Conference at Boston University in October 2025, where students got a chance to present their research to judges in a 3+2 format presentation. Congratulations to all the participants and the winners!

Read the Tales of Scientists written by our 2024 enthusiasts. Thanks to Dr. Maya Murdeshwar and her team for providing this wonderful mentorship to the high schoolers. In a structured two month period, students were engaged in learning the process of doing scientific literature search, scientific writing and then faced a stringent peer-review process in order to publish the stories about the lives of their favorite scientists.

  • Congratulations to Udayan Basu and Arjun Mandloi (2024 Cohort) for submitting the manuscript in Biorxiv

  • Students were involved in doing market research on the causes for food spoilage in USA. Students learnt entrepreneurial ideas start with identifying the problems & the cause of the problems. Students presented the findings in a virtual STEMPeers meet.

  • Students worked with the mentor on understanding market and landscape analyses of pharmaceutical companies in the anti-obesity space. Students delved into the biology behind these diseases and the mechanism of action of the drugs and learnt how investors assess the financial market and make decision
