Guidelines & Tips for Presenters

  • Please read the rubric carefully. Judging categories: Content Understanding, Organization & Clarity, Visuals/Slide Design, Delivery & Timing, and Q&A Responses.

  • Presentation is in 3+2 format (3 min presentation + 2 min Q&A). Points will be deducted for going over time, and presenters will be stopped at 5 minutes.

  • Prepare only 5-6 slides (recommendation). No abstract on the slides, and don't pack slides with a lot of text.

  • Focus on the important question, how you addressed it, and what was the key finding. No need to show all the work you did for the project.

  • If 2 people are presenting, make a smooth transition — you still have only 3 minutes total to present.

  • If you paste a graph or graphic, make sure the image is not blurry.

  • Practice speaking and prepare notes. Practice, practice, practice — and don't stress, it's meant to be a fun learning experience.

  • Please send your slides in advance by the deadline communicated by the organizers, for smooth presentations on event day.

  • Dress code: Casual Professional.
