Presentation Guidelines
Presenters will stand by their poster during the poster session; judges will visit each poster for approximately 5 minutes (3 minutes for your walkthrough + 2 minutes for Q&A).
Presentations can be individual or in a team of 2.
Posters should be on a trifold (max 24 inch x 36 inch).
Guidelines & Tips for Presenters
Please read the rubric carefully. Judging categories: Content Understanding, Poster Design & Visual Clarity, Organization & Flow, Verbal Explanation & Engagement, and Q&A Responses.
Keep the poster visually clean — avoid dense blocks of text.
Use clear section headers (Question, Methods, Results, Conclusion) so a judge can follow your poster even before you start talking.
If you include a graph or graphic, make sure the image is high resolution and not blurry.
Prepare a concise ~3-minute walkthrough of your question, approach, and key finding — don't read the poster word for word.
If 2 people are presenting, decide in advance who covers which part, and practice a smooth handoff.
Practice fielding questions — judges could ask about your methods and findings during Q&A.
