Presentation Guidelines

  • The video track is a submission, not a live presentation — think of it as your poster presented in video format.

  • Video length: 3- 5 minutes total.

  • Submissions can be individual or in a team of 2 individuals.

  • Upload your video to YouTube as a private/unlisted video and submit the link by October 24, 2026 11:59 pm EST.

  • Literature review projects are accepted for this track (in addition to original research and data-mining projects).

  • Video submissions are judged separately from oral and poster tracks, with results communicated by  Nov 15 via email.

Guidelines & Tips for Presenters

  • Please read the rubric carefully. Judging categories: Content Understanding, Organization & Clarity, Visual/Production Quality, Communication & Delivery, and Overall Impact.

  • Structure your video like a poster walkthrough: introduce the question, briefly explain your approach, present your findings, and close with why it matters.

  • Use slides or visuals on screen — don't rely on talking to the camera with no visual support.

  •  Check your audio quality before submitting; poor audio makes even strong content hard to follow.

  • Since there is no live Q&A, make sure your video fully answers the obvious follow-up questions a judge might have.

  •  If 2 people are presenting, plan a smooth on-screen handoff, just as you would for oral or poster. You will still have only 3-5 minutes for the final submission.
